Launch of the Vietnam Robotics Chapter – A Strategic Step Toward Advancing the Robotics and Automation Ecosystem

June 28, 2025 marked an important milestone with the official launch of the Vietnam Robotics Chapter, operating under the Vietnam Automation Association (VAA). More than a formal inauguration, the event represents a strategic initiative to connect businesses with educational and training institutions, fostering stronger growth of Vietnam’s robotics industry in the era of Industry 4.0.

A Major Goal: Building a Sustainable Robotics and Automation Ecosystem

The establishment of the Vietnam Robotics Chapter aims to:

• Build a robust robotics and automation technology ecosystem in Vietnam
• Promote research, innovation, and real-world applications
• Connect enterprises with universities and research institutes, both domestically and internationally
• Contribute to the national strategy for developing core technologies such as AI, IoT, and automation control

Robotics and automation are also among the 11 key priority technologies identified by the Government for strategic investment and development.

Leadership and Strategic Action Framework

At the launch ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hoai Quoc, former Head of the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park Management Board, was elected as President of the Vietnam Robotics Chapter for the 2025–2030 term. The Chapter also established an Executive Committee comprising leading experts, entrepreneurs, and renowned scientists.

The Chapter’s activities will be guided by four strategic pillars:

1. Promoting R&D and commercialization of “Make in Vietnam” robotics solutions
2. Developing practical training programs and technology transfer initiatives
3. Building a strong collaboration platform between academia, research institutions, and industry to cultivate high-quality human resources
4. Organizing conferences, exhibitions, and international cooperation programs to expand the robotics market
